Mischa Barton Busted for DUI

TMZ has confirmed that Mischa Barton has been arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana and a controlled substance and driving without a valid license.

According to a press release issued by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, the former "O.C." star was pulled over early this morning around 2:45 AM as she was driving in West Hollywood, Calif. Cops say she "was seen straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn." When deputies pulled her over, they determined that she "was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage."

Barton is still in custody, being held on $10,000 bail. The L.A. County Sheriffs' Inmate Information website called her "Mischa Burton." Sources tell us that Mischa has been "very cooperative" and "no trouble at all." She's a good bad girl!

I guess because she knows that even though she had a suspened licesne, 2 different drugs on her and driving while drunk she will still only spend 1 1/2 minutes in jail if at ALL. Our asses would be in jail for DAYS. Hang on sec, let me grab an 8 ball and guzzle a bottle tequila then get in the car drive 100 miles an hour with my blow and bong. Ill let you know when I get out of jail & how long I got. Im a productive working member of society so I figure I'll get 3 months to a year.

123. I guess none of you have ever made mistakes before! And maybe that's why you're so quick to bash her. Mischa doesn't deserve this kind of crap while going through this issue. She made a mistake and she will be punished for it. She was not looking for attention. She doesn't need the press. Mischa has many good things going for her right now, including 9 films coming out this year. She's still miles above the other celebs that constantly do this kind of stuff! So get a life and leave her alone!!

127. What a way to end the year ....with a bang.......now she can add this to her resume. Isn't it now a requirement for young celebs??? Now, she's up there with all the rest of them. Those girls can get so competitive with each other. I think it's cuz of pics that "tmz" posted of her just that day....making fun of her high pants where her hoochie is clearly defined.....me too I could get depressed...drink, toke, and drive. That should be her defense....the paparazi and those unsightful pics of her is what drove her to those charges.....poor girl....you see it's not her fault after all.

134. Wow, a 21 year-old girl that likes to smoke some weed. big deal, people need to get lives. Yes, it is completely wrong and stupid to drive under the influence of something, but don't judge someone so harshly for doing something as petty and harmless as smoking marijuana. Maybe you have never partied, or had fun in your youth, and you are a bit jealous of these kids?
